New Courses on Offer at Electronic Village
Electronic Village is an I.T. training organisation delivering learning to disabled and disadvantaged adults throughout West Yorkshire.
Many of our students use computers to benefit themselves, learn new things, improve their employment opportunities or just to come in and socialise. We are a registered charity and have been in operation for over 25 years, originally working out of the Walsh Building in Dewsbury.
After a spell in Dewsbury Town Hall, we are now located in Unit 1, Empire House, where we occupy two floors of offices that include two training rooms. Here we run Information and Communication Technology (ICT) courses at a pace to suit the learner and which fit a wide range of needs – from the recreational, to those wanting to use ICT accredited qualifications to get back to work.
“Electronic Village exists to provide top quality training in Information Technology and associated subjects for people with a disability or those who are disadvantaged. It aims to broaden peoples horizons and improve lifestyle as well as minimising isolation and enhancing education and employment for all”.
Our vision started over 20 years ago with a group of disabled people wanting to do things for themselves and raise the awareness of disability in the workplace. Our vision is a world where people with a disability are valued equally, listened to and included. We want everyone to have the opportunity to achieve the things they want out of life.
